Keith & Supabeatz are two upcoming producers and remixers from Italy. You have certainly heard of them lately..
K&S’s tracks have already been played by the likes of Laidback Luke, Crookers, Brodinski, Congorock, Shinichi Osawa, Bart B More, Fake Blood and Benny Benassi, including a lot of plays on BBC Radio1 by Annie Nightingale, Annie Mac, Kissy Sell Out and Jaymo & Andy George.
Their story begun in late 2008 with a great success: they won the Franz Ferdinand’s remix contest for Domino Records. For this reason, they decided to work together on some original material. In 2009, Supabeatz produced “Rasp” (Hypotron Records) with North Wales producer Jay Robinson: the track has gained them a spot on both the recent “Wax:On compilation series no. 1″ mixed and compiled by Fake Blood and “Ministry Of Sound: The Club presents Style Of Eye” CD. It was also spinned by Jaymo & Andy George on BBC Radio1.
Keith signed two amazing Ep’s during the same year: the first (Rataplan EP) on Satan’s Circus label and the second (Miami EP) on Hypotron Records, both played by Kissy Sell Out on BBC Radio1, Bart B More, Don Rimini Mustard Pimp. Keith has also remixed the likes of Crystal Castel on Different Recordings and Kissy Sell Out on San City High.
The duo joined again on a new project in 2010. They signed to Fatboy Slim’s UK based label Southern Fried and the first EP was “Some1 EP”
which has been played and supported by Fake Blood, Brodinski, Groove Armada, Malente, Mumdance, A1 Bassline, Kidda and Foamo.
Keith & Supabeatz also remixed Crookers + Soulwax and Mixhell, Brodinski, Mumdance, Mighty Dub Katz, Jess & Crabbe, Magik Johnson, Steed Lord, Etienne De Crecy, Tony Senghore and The 2 Bears during the year and they worked with labels such as Kitsuné, Trouble & Bass, Toolroom, Ultra and Dim Mak. Their remix for Burn The Negative’s track “Smash And Grab” (Gung-Ho! Records) has been featured on “The Annual 2011″ on Ministry Of Sound Uk. In November 2010, Southern Fried released their last Ep called “Higher Place”.
